Two noteworthy events coming up are the Chris Stapleton concert and Reggae Rum Fest! 

Country stars Chris Stapleton, Sheryl Crow and Kendell Marvel are coming to town to present the All-American Road Show at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Thursday August 26th, from 7pm – 11pm. Look forward to hearing their most popular hits as well as Stapleton’s new album ‘Starting Over’, which is out now!

Get movin’ and groovin’ island style at the Reggae Rum Fest hosted by the Jerk Hut Island Grille and Beach Club! Celebrate all things Jamaican at this outdoor festival where you’ll hear the best of live Reggae by artists like Jah Movement and Tampa’s top Caribbean DJ, DJSPICE. Dance up an appetite then feast on all the island favorites at the Jerk Hut Island Grille or one of the food truck.

St. Petersburg Pier

Couples looking for a true St. Pete experience must check out the newly renovated St. Pete Pier! This 26-acre waterfront playground is packed with opportunities for fun. Walk or cruise down the stretch of wide-open walkway where you’ll pass several restaurants, the Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center, a splash pad and playground, and numerous works of art. A must see is the stunning “Bending Arc” by sculptor Janet Echelman. This now famous display is not only magnificent to gaze upon but, was titled after Dr. Martin Luther King’s words “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” This pier is perfect to explore day or night. If you visit during the day you can browse the Marketplace, located at the pier’s shaded Gateway, featuring a variety of independent vendors selling one-of-a-kind items. Those wanting to experience the pier’s nightlife will be captured by the Bending Arc’s magenta glow! Head to the very end and very top of the pier to find Pier Teaki, St. Pete’s version of a classic Tiki Bar! Savor delicious drinks ranging in style from fruity and tropical to classic and timeless. One of the best features you’ll experience while sipping at Pier Teaki is the wonderful breeze and breathtaking view of the city all lit up.
